Well you have to make shure that no one is allergic to feathers (if you want a bird) or fluff (if you want a cat) you must also make shure you have enough place to give him some freedom and make sure you have enough money and enough time to take care of the animal, also if you already have an animal you have to make shure that they can get along together.
