Default Parakeets in the Kitchen

My friends let their parakeets fly all over the house, including the kitchen. This gives me the creeps because of sanitary reasons. Birds will be birds after all. I won't eat when I go over there, and my friend thinks I'm being silly. What do you think?

I think you have every reason to be concerned. I know that there are a lot of people that let there birds fly all over. I would not just be concerned with this but with the fact that at anytime someone could walk in and your birds could be out the door.

I think you are right to be concerned also. I would not eat there either. I hope your friend at least cleans up after his/her pet. The thought of that bothers me too.

Birds can't be litter trained. The idea of letting your bird fly around in kitchen is not a very healthy one.The birds have to be kept caged for several reasons.
