My girlfriend has a canary bird and she is telling me that little bird sings very much and she is feeding it all kinds of food like cabbage, apples, carrots and sticks with seeds. I needed to know how hard is it to keep a canary bird?

I love the birds which sing. I am not having a canary bird but i do have a parrot. I think keeping any bird does not give you much difficulties. You just need to take care of the pet's diet and proper shelter requirement.

Canary is a lovely singing bird and it is supposed to be very beautiful too.Lot of people opt for this bird as pet.Another positive point regarding this bird is that it is not supposed to be very social.So one single bird will be very comfortable.
