Do you let your bunny loose in the house?
I was wondering if anyone here lets their bunny loose and roam around their house either some of the time or all of the time?
My friend has one that she lets loose all of the time because he kept getting out of his cage, and the bunny is SOOOO destructive!

I can imagine! If I had a bunny, I don't think I would let it loose unsupervised.
When we had one when I was a child, we would let them loose outside with supervision.

Yes I let mine out of the cage most of the time. It gives them great exercise but make sure you keep an eye on them otherwise finding them maybe a difficult task.

I dont let my guinea pigs roam around the house (guinea pigs are close enough to rabbits arnt they? lol) coz they can be really hard to find and they may even hurt themselves...I usually let them have a bit of exercise in the garden wher theres a fence.

It is best in order to litter pan train your bunny, keep it contained with a litter pan with good hay and grass in it. Just like humans love to read when they potty, rabbits love to munch. I had Hunny Bunny litter pan trained when she was only six weeks old! She also uses my cats litter pan now when she is out roaming. If you allow a bunny to roam too freely at first, it never learns to go in one place. Also, you can spray apple bitter on things to stop them from chewing. Hunny Bunny knows when I say "no"and quits. I give her things that she is allowed to chew and there are things that she has learned to not chew. If you want to litter pan train them, confine them with a litter pan with Good Mews litter and put hay and grass in the litter pan. I was amazed on how quickley my rabbit learned and she is my first bunny!

My bunny is litter trained and will use the box outside of the cage as well as the one I keep in it. I do need to keep a fairly good eye on her when she's roaming about, however, because once in awhile she will try to nibble on something that is not supposed to be nibbled. I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving her free if I am going to be out of the house.

I do when I am home! He can wander the house and play, however I put him in his cage or pin when I am at work.

When we had bunnies we'd bring them inside and let them run around every once and a while. They lived in a custom-made insulated shelter outside.

I used to have two very tiny bunnies and I'd let them lose once in a while in the living room, but I would watch over them because they would always pee in the corners. I heard it's a way of claiming territory, which was fine, but we always had to clean the mess up, until we figured out a way to block all corners with cardboards.
