I have a bunny and our house doesn't have any odor problems, but my daughter's house reeks of urine from her pet bunny. She swears she cleans the cage every other day. Could it be a sign of illness if the urine is so strong smelling?
I would suggest going to a vet, if the smell is so strong it spreads all throughout the house even if the cage is cleaned everyday. Usually it shouldn't be that strong of a smell, although there may be a slight odor.
Rabbit urine can have a strong odor naturally (spaying and neutering can help reduce the odor). In addition their urine is high in calcium so can leave a chalky residue when it dries that can be hard to clean up (vinegar is pretty effective for this).
