Red face I have 15 cats & kittens.

Hi, I'm new & just want to be a member where people love animals. I am a rescue house for cats sort of unofficially. People just seem to drop off or throw out their unwanted cats & kittens in my yard. I love them all. They are so sweet. I have 15 total!

Wow, that's a lot of cats! You have a big heart for animals. Some would reject cats they don't like but not you, I envy you for that! By the way, how do you manage to feed all of your cats?

It is great that you take them in and all. But do you think that people drop them there just because they know you will take care of them?

Well it might be possible...I know you weren't asking me but in my case, two of my cats were dumped near our house because they knew we would take care of them. They must of thought "hey she's got 6 cats, one more, one less, they won't even notice!"

Hmm...well, I hope it's not like a friend of mine. She has a neighbor that seems to collect cats. The problem is that there are so many of them, that they leave the yard to do their business, and they do it in my friend's yard, in her driveway, on (and in) her car! She's desperate. Hopefully your 15 cats have litter pans inside your house?

I think that in that case more needs to be done to find them homes if there is time. I would say the community should work together on this. I know how I would feel if it were happening to me.

You would think the community would help, wouldn't you? She's even tried catching the cats to take to the animal control, but she can only put the cage within her back yard...but the cats migrate to her fence and driveway, and she can't put the cage there. She's tried everything, and the county just doesn't seem to care. Can't imagine the other neighbors aren't bothered as well, but you should smell the place! yuck!

You sure are a animal lover. I dont know what I would do with all of the cats..... Thats too many to take care of. I wouldn't have time to even go to work. Best of luck!

WoW! I love my cat, but I don't know if I could have as many as you do. Kudos to you. Good luck with that.

Well, I have a very large screen room that all my cats live on. No, I do not let them roam outside at all. I was a vet tech for many years so the vet I worked for gives all my cats a lot of free care & good discounts on the other things they need. They all have their own litter boxes which are changed every other day & lots of toys to play with. They are fed either Iams or Hills Science Diet which I also get huge discounts on. I love each & every one of them & by the way I now have a total of 22 which includes 2 4 week old kittens I caught someone trying to drown.
