One of my cats was the same way. You could have the door wide open and she would never want to leave from the house. Not even get close enough to look, but she loved sitting in the window seal.

My kitty was born outside somewhere along the LA, and MS border. I took her in and she lives with me inside my condo now. At first she wanted to go outside all the time, and would try to escape. She would watch the birds threw the window for hours, eheh. I decided to take her for walks and she likes that lot playing int he sand especially.

One of my first cats was found in the forest in northern Alberta. He was sickly, and had worms, etc. After we fixed him up, he was an indoor cat for another 19 years after that! It took a few years to adjust, always wanting to go outside, meowing at birds through the window.

The cat I am having is completely an indoor one, but that doesn't mean that it is scared of moving out.It likes to play in the yards, but when somebody is around.
