Default Potbelly pigs

Has anyone here ever had one?

Someone gave me one once. My veterinarian explained what to feed it and how much. She said you're not supposed to make them fat. I fed it like she said, and she said I had a very healthy pig just the right weight. I kept it in a pen outside with a little house, and a neighbor called animal control and told them I was starving it. Animal control came out and said I wasn't feeding it enough because it's belly wasn't dragging the ground. I gave them my vet's number and had them call her so she could confirm I was feeding it the correct amount.

That made me so mad!

I don't think the potbelly pig should be so fat either. It is not that you are fattening him up so you can eat him. They are mistaking him for a regular pig.

I think that people who do not know the difference will have their opinions anyways. Since most people think pigs are to eat they do not think they should be pets.
