We went to the market today to pick up some Muscovy Ducks. Sure enough, we came home with a drake, and a hen, named Merlin and Gladys. They're both very nice ducks, but I suppose we didn't get a great look at them at the market, and Gladys seems to have a small cut around her eye. Merlin has some fealthers pulled out in the back. I think they where both picked on by the other ducks a little back at their old home prehaps, so we're going to try and nurse them back to health a bit. We have a huge pond for them to swim in, a large shed with lots of straw for the cold evenings, and 50 acres to roam on. I'm just wondering if there's anything else we can do to try and help Merlins missing tail feathers to grow back, and Gladys's cut has seemed to heal up mostly around her eye. She also has a couple bare patches around her neck area. Do you think they'll be alright? I think they've just had a bit of a rough start.
Just wanted your opinion.
Thanks.
