In my area it's between 36-40+K/year....that's just starting out. Doesn't seem worth all the training...I make that much with only a bachelor's and I don't get my butt kicked by rotten horses like mine why trying to administer shots. Sorry for the rant.
On average, a new graduate will make a whopping $30,000 or less for starting pay. Woo hoo. As an equine vet grows, they can make a lot more, especially if they own their own practice and do not work for someone else.
If you are a vet and be an equine specialist,it is a great option. You won't just take up horses, you will deal vaster fields.Of course you will have a nice start and you will be doing very well as you grow.
